SVY Swim Team Takes 3 National Titles

Somerset Valley YMCA swim team captured three national titles and placed fifth overall out of 54 teams at the highly competitive 2015 YMCA Short Course National Championship in Greensboro, N.C.

The men’s team finished third at the National meet last month, while the women’s team finished sixth. Swimmers won national titles in three events – one individual win and two relays - and had many top 10 finishes.

“We had an historic year as a program,” said Head Coach Dan Roth. “Our success reflects the time and effort put in by every swimmer, the dedication and talent of our coaches and the many volunteer hours contributed by our tireless parents. We couldn’t be prouder of our team.”

The team is headquartered at Bridgewater YMCA, a branch of Somerset County YMCA.
