Taco Bell Opens In Somerville

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Taco Bell on Route 22 East between Davenport and Bridge streets on the former site of Red Tower III in Somerville has opened.

The Somerville location opened on Sunday next to McDonald's, despite reports from Taco Bell spokespeople that an opening date was still unconfirmed as of last week.

The restaurant had originally been proposed to open at the end of July, but was delayed until the Oct. 1 opening.

Since its opening, mixed reviews have already started appearing on Google including:

"Awesome brand new Taco Bell right near Bridgewater Mall! Food tasted perfect and the drive thru went quickly," said one reviewer.

"Where's the BEEF in your crunchwrap??? It tasted like lettuce in a pocket! :-(" said another reviewer.

The nearest Taco Bells to the Somerville area are on Route 22 in Green Brook and Route 206 in Hillsborough.
