Tacos El Tio Closes 9 Months After Opening First Somerset County Location

The family-owned and operated Mexican Bar & Grill had initially opened its fourth location off Route 22 in Green Brook.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Tacos El Tio Mexican Grill & Bar has closed its first Somerset County location in Green Brook.

"We regret to inform you that this location is permanently closed. We look forward to serving you at our next closest location in Monroe Township," said a recording when calling the restaurant.

The restaurant, at 215 Route 22 in Green Brook, was family-owned and operated by Angelo Duva along with his brother and father.

Along with the Monroe location, the other restaurant locations are Medford and Egg Harbor Township.

It is unclear what prompted the closure. A request for comment to Angelo Duva by Patch was not returned.

The restaurant's message noted that if customers have questions they can reach out through their website at tacoseltio.com.
