Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Miss Noelle Decowski exemplifies a genuine sense of comfort, safety, and love of learning for her 4th grade students at Stony Brook School. Miss Decowski meets all students where they are at and is creative in how she helps students learn. Outside of the classroom, Miss Decowski values connecting with her students at recess (even if during her prep!) and staying after school to tutor. It’s no question why students love Miss Decowski - she makes learning fun AND it is clear that students feel safe taking risks in her classroom. As her colleague, Miss Decowski is a team player and someone who never bats an eye at helping others.
