Texas School Shooting: 'When Will This Be The Last?' Asks Malinowski
14 students and 1 teacher were killed in the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday.

DISTRICT 7 — Communities and parents across the country are grieving, including local lawmakers Congressman Tom Malinowski and Gov. Phil Murphy, after at least 14 students and a teacher were killed in a shooting at a Texas elementary school Tuesday.
"Parents should not have to live in fear that their kids will be killed at school. But day after day, our nation experiences unimaginable tragedy. When will this be the last?" said Malinowski of District 7, which represents all of Hunterdon County and parts of Essex, Somerset, Morris, Union, and Warren counties.
Murphy also shared his sentiments on the tragedy.

"Heartbroken by today’s elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. No child or educator should ever fear going to school, and no parent should ever fear sending their child to school. We must end our nation's gun violence epidemic," said Murphy.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the deaths in an update on the shooting at a news conference Tuesday. The gunman is also dead, Abbott said.

The shooter was armed with a handgun when he entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde and was believed to have been killed in the shooting by law enforcement officers, Abbott said.
Abbott identified the shooter as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, of Uvalde. It is possible he also brought a rifle into the school, but that has not been confirmed, Abbott said. Read More: Texas School Shooting: 14 Students, 1 Teacher Killed, Governor Says
The shooting is the deadliest at a U.S. elementary school since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012. It comes four years after a gunman killed 10 people in a shooting at Santa Fe High School in the Houston area.
