Local owner Sung Yun Lee brings a solid background in franchise management to the brand that helps business owners achieve maximum value when buying or selling companies.

SOMERVILLE, NJ (April 17, 2024) – Transworld Business Advisors, a leader in the brokerage consulting industry, has opened an office in Somerville, New Jersey, owned and operated by longtime franchise executive Sung Yun Lee. A Korean immigrant who has built a successful professional and family life in America, Lee is eager to build the Transworld Business Advisors brand in a new market by helping clients realize their dreams.

“I’m looking forward to using my past experiences and skills to help operators get a fresh start in either exiting their business or starting a new venture,” said Lee, who started his career in the QSR franchise space managing restaurants for Charleys Philly Steaks, and working his way up to oversee 500 franchise locations as Director of Operations. In the last nine years, Lee has been a multi-unit owner and operator with the Charleys brand where he has, managed and developed multi-unit leadership teams, negotiated leases, and acquired and developed new restaurants.

While the office is central to Somerset County, Lee is eager to support the potential of those both centrally located, and those living beyond the immediate suburbs, to continue to develop or revitalize. “I can bring a new attitude to a niche industry that is underserved here,” he said, “by providing exceptional service to our clients coupled with my passion for helping business owners to achieve their business and financial goals.”

In keeping with his vision, Lee plans to recruit agents who can partner with him in building the brand, along with clients who want the best results in acquiring or selling businesses.

Born in Korea and raised in India, Lee emigrated to the United States and earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and international studies from Ohio Wesleyan University. Lee’s multicultural upbringing helps to provide unique perspective and understanding as he aids business owners from diverse backgrounds who are seeking assistance. He lives in New Jersey, with his wife and their children.
