Truck Wanted In Hit-And-Run Leads Police On Chase Across 4 Highways In Somerset County: PD
Raritan Police spotted the tractor-trailer, which was reportedly wanted in connection with a hit-and-run in Hillsborough on Wednesday.
RARITAN, NJ — A tractor-trailer wanted in connection with a hit-and-run led police on a chase across four highways in Somerset County early Wednesday morning.
On March 25 at 5 a.m., Raritan Police were notified that a tractor-trailer was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Hillsborough, said Raritan Police Lt. Everett M. Holt.
Officers found the tractor-trailer on Route 206 North in Raritan.

Holt said the officers saw the tractor-trailer driving "in a manner that posed an imminent threat to public safety," and a chase was started.
Raritan Police Officers chased the vehicle onto Route 28 West, Route 22 West, and Interstate 78 West, where it hit a guardrail and stopped near Exit 4, said Holt.

After a brief foot chase, the driver was taken into custody and taken to a local hospital.
The name of the driver was not released as an investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
