Upgraded Streaming Of Meetings, Mall Usage To Be Discussed At Bridgewater Council Meeting

Bridgewater Township is holding a Council Meeting on Monday night where topics such as salaries for township employees will be discussed.

BRIDGWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Township Council will be holding a meeting on Monday night to vote on a number of topics.

The council will hold a public hearing and finalize a vote to appropriate money from the capital improvement fund to upgrade its audio and visual(AV) equipment for the council chambers and courtroom.

Allowable Mall Usage

The Township Mayor and Council will hold a public hearing and finalize a vote on an ordinance to allow establishments for games, entertainment, and/or amusement to be added at the mall. Read More: Games, Entertainment, Amusement To Be Added Uses At Bridgewater Mall

The mall currently is only allowed retail along with food and drink establishments. The ordinance would amend section 126-320.2 for the Bridgewater Regional Center Zone to allow a broader use.

The introduced ordinance would allow the mall to bring in new attractions like a carousel or tenants such as Dave & Busters or Top Golf.

Government Salaries

Bridgewater Council will hold a public hearing and finalize a vote on an ordinance setting the salaries and compensation. Read More: Bridgewater Salaries To Increase For Police Chief, Department Heads

The annual ordinance impacts township officials including department heads, municipal employees, and the Chief of Police. While most could see an increase in pay, there will be no increase for the mayor or council members this year.
