Upgraded Video, Audio Streaming Of Bridgewater Meetings Completed
Residents are now able to watch all open public meetings on the YouTube channel live as it is happening and after the video has aired.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Township residents are now able to better hear and see all Bridgewater Township meetings following the completion of its transition to live streaming all open public meetings on YouTube.
The first live stream meeting on the YouTube channel(youtube.com/@BridgewaterNewJersey) began last week with the Aug. 17 Town Council Meeting.
The new system, which cost $112,879 and was approved by the Town Council in December 2022, provides the public with the opportunity to access livestreams via the Township's YouTube Channel.

Livestreams will remain available indefinitely after the conclusion of each stream.
"This is an outgrowth of the investment that we made in this room upgrading our video, upgrading our audio. So now hopefully people can hear us and see us in the room - and that of course includes anyone that comes to the podium as well," said Council President Michael Kirsch at the meeting.

The Township will also stream future Land Use board meetings in the same manner.
"My Administration is dedicated to promoting transparency and public engagement in all aspects of governance," stated Mayor Matthew Moench. "Moving our livestreams to YouTube accomplishes a few things: first, it means that our residents can access the livestreams on a platform that is likely much more familiar to them, as opposed to the RingCentral application. Secondly, it means that once a livestream has concluded, the recording will still be available for public viewing at any time in the future."
To tune into the livestreams, interested participants can visit the official Township of Bridgewater YouTube channel (youtube.com@BridgewaterNewJersey) at the scheduled meeting times.
Viewers may also sign up to be notified of upcoming streams by signing up for the Township’s email newsletter (bridgewaternj.gov/subscribe-to-bridgewater-newsletters).
