Walk To Defeat ALS On Sunday

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter will host the 1st Annual Fall Central Jersey Walk to Defeat ALS on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Somerset Patriots TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater.

The walk is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Before and after the walk there will be family friendly activities such as face painting, music, mascots, refreshments, and other fun and games.

Proceeds from the event will go to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter. As one of The ALS Association's leading chapters, the Greater New York Chapter serves patients and families throughout Long Island, New York City, Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, and Northern & Central New Jersey.

The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter plays a major role in promoting the mission to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The ALS Association is the only national nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. ALSA is a member of the National Health Council.

Somerset Patriots TD Bank Ballpark is located at 860 E Main St, in Bridgewater.
