Warren Boutique Saves Bridgewater Mother Of Bride’s Dress In Time For Wedding

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Like any mother, Jodi Truss of Bridgewater was very excited for her daughter’s wedding day. She went out and purchased a beautiful gold dress for the big day.

She had gone for four alterations at the shop where she purchased the dress but after the final fitting something wasn’t right.

“I was just not happy with it,” Truss told Patch. “It just was not right.”

A week before her daughter’s wedding, Truss just happened to stop into Sabine’s Boutique in Warren with a friend to look for a dress. Truss had purchased dresses from Sabine in the past and mentioned her disappointment with the fit of her wedding day dress.

Without hesitation, Sabine told her to bring it in and have her dressmaker look at it.

“I brought it in and the dressmaker said, ‘This is awful. You can’t wear it like this.’” Truss said.

The dressmaker took the dress on June 8 and had it back to Truss that following Tuesday. Just in time for the wedding the following Saturday, June 17.

When Truss tried it on, it was perfect.

“It looked much better,” Truss said. “The fit was wrong before and it needed to be much more fitted for me.”

Truss was so impressed that she wanted to share this feel good story because she was so grateful for what Sabine did to help her in her time of need.

“She charged me a reasonable amount and she didn’t have to do this,” Truss said. “She had no skin in game. She just did it because she is a very generous person.”

“I want people to go there, she is just so generous,” Truss continued. “For her to do that for me and to fix it, was above and beyond.”
