WARREN, NJ — Good news! The Warrenbrook Pool will finally be opening for the summer season following a lifeguard shortage.

The reopening follows a challenging 2022 season that was impacted by leaks in the pool that required off-season repairs, and difficulties recruiting lifeguards amid a national lifeguard shortage.

In recent weeks, eight new lifeguards were recruited, hired, and trained and are now ready to join the team. Combined with returning lifeguards the staff is now large enough to open the pool four days per week.

While the Park Commission continues to recruit lifeguards, the priority is candidates who already have lifeguard certification, as no additional training courses are scheduled at present.
