Nearly half of the new stores will be located in Florida, but Wawa - a South Jersey staple - will continue to expand its presence in North Jersey.
Wawa once located several stores inNorth Jersey, but in the late 1990s, the decision was made to abandon the market because it was too competitive. The company came back to North Jersey in 2010 with a new store in Parsippany. In 2012, Wawa came to Woodbridge, followed by Kearny and Lodi in 2013.
