Bridgewater Wegmans Sets Food Item Limits Amid Coronavirus Spread

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Wegmans in Bridgewater has set food item limits for customers as frustrations grow over empty store shelves.
"We are limiting high-demand products in all of our stores until further notice," a spokeswoman with Wegmans said.
High-demand products included milk, eggs, canned fruit and vegetables, water, hand sanitizer and more.

Paper products were wiped out on Saturday in the store but meat shelves were restocked this weekend.

The self-serve hot and cold food bars were also shut down. Additional packaged options were offered instead.

Non-essential businesses in New Jersey will shut beginning on Monday at 8 p.m. because of the coronavirus outbreak, Gov. Phil Murphy announced. New Jerseyans should not do "non-essential travel" – such as leaving your home – from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Murphy said. (See Related: NJ Coronavirus Curfew: Bars, Restaurants, Theaters To Shut)
New Jersey will also not allow gatherings of 50 people or more. All movie theaters, restaurants, gyms and casinos will close in an attempt to flatten the curve of the spread, Murphy said. Take-out is still available.
