Sunday is National Ice Cream Day2017! Here are places you can score a free cone or special offers.

Sunday, July 16 is National Ice Cream Day and there are plenty of ways to celebrate. Many businesses are offering free ice cream or offers to celebrate the day.

Friendly's: Friendly’s is giving back to the community by donating $2 from each $2.99 Friend-z purchase at all Friendly’s restaurant locations to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Additionally through Sept. 17, guests can buy any Friend-z flavor for $2.99. Friendly's has a location at 1463 Raritan Rd in Clark.

Carvel: On Sunday, buy one get one free ice cream cone or cup any size, for soft ice cream only at Carvel locations. Carvel has locations in Hillsborough, Somerset, Linden and Livingston.
McDonald's: Download the McDonald's App and you can get a free vanilla cone on July 16 and also earn a chance from 2 to 5 p.m. to win free soft serve for life.

Duke Farms Market in Hillsborough: AMA Gelato, from Flagtown, will offer their gelato in a cup or a cone with their homemade pizzelle on top. Also guests can top their gelato from the complimentary Farm to Table Sunday Bar. Toppings will include seasonal fresh fruit from Alstede Farms, mini macarons from Simply Sweets By Lauren in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, Bon Nut Butters & Sweets, jam from Jams By Kim and even a chocolate balsamic from Patricia & Paul Artisans of Fine Oils and Balsamics. Chef Josh will also be whipping up some coffee ice cream to taste using Cheech's Own versatile coffee concentrate as well as a roasted apricot ice cream. Duke Farms Market is located at 1112 Dukes Parkway West in Hillsborough and open from noon to 5 p.m.
