BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Choir held its annual “This Winter Night” concert on Jan. 19.

The Winter Choral Concert, which was performed in the high school auditorium, was a show that featured the skillful sounds from the Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Choral Program’s Mixed Choir, Select Treble, A Capella Alliance, Lorelei and the Symphonic Choir.

"It was such a joy to celebrate the work of our wonderful choral students. I hope that they are as proud of their work as I am," said Dr. John Wilson, the high school’s Choral Director.

The performance also honored Dr. Laura Bassett, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District’s Supervisor of Arts Education, who will be moving on from her role to become the Principal at the school district’s Eisenhower Intermediate School.

She will begin in her new position on Feb. 1 when she will replace Joe Diskin, who will retire from that position after 23 years.

"It was also very special to celebrate Laura Bassett’s move... She has given so much to our music department and to our students," Wilson said.

He also praised the contributions that both he and the students received from the Choir Parents’ Organization.

"The BRHS Choral Concert was an exciting culmination of months of hard work in our high school choral program," Bassett said.
