Two wreaths were placed at the Veterans Plazas in Somerville and Raritan on Friday.

RARITAN, NJ — The Wreaths Across America convoy, which stopped in Manville last week, presented two wreaths to be placed at the veterans plazas in Somerville and Raritan on Friday.
“At this holiday season we give thanks for many blessings, and one of them is the blessing of freedom we enjoy as a result of the service of the thousands of men and women who have served our country in the military throughout our history,” said Somerset County Freeholder Mark Caliguire. “The Wreaths Across America program, and our ceremony here, are a fitting way to honor and give thanks to our veterans, both living and departed.”
Also in attendance were Freeholders Patricia Walsh and Brian D. Levine, Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano, Manville Mayor Richard Onderko, Raritan Mayor Chuck McMullin, county Veterans Services Director Peter Niemiec, Veterans Services Officer Elizabeth Haluszczak, and members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 27.
