'Wrestle Like A Girl Challenge' Offered In Bound Brook

BOUND BROOK, NJ — Calling all girls looking to wrestle. The Bound Brook Recreation Wrestling Program is hosting the Lady Crusaders Wrestle Like A Girl Challenge on Sunday, March 3.

All girls, not just in Bound Brook, are welcome to come to the event at the Community Middle School, 120 East Second St., in Bound Brook.

World Medalist and 2020 Olympic Hopeful Leigh Jaynes will lead group warm up and be on-site throughout the day.

Weigh-ins will be held between 8 and 8:30 a.m. and to determine weight classes the Madison weight system will be used. All wrestlers should be within two pounds of their registered weight.

Every wrestler will have at least two matches. Wrestler must wear wrestling shoes, singlet / 2-piece wrestling uniform and headgear. Hairnets are optional.

Wrestling will begin at 9 a.m. with a bout length of 1-1-1 Scholastic rules. All wrestlers will receive a medal.

Wrestlers will receive an event T-shirt and Chick Wrestler clothing brand.

Concessions including breakfast sandwiches, bagels, hot dogs, drinks and much more will be available all day.
