North Caldwell Borough Council Primary Election Results

A pair of candidates ran unopposed for the Republican nomination in North Caldwell. No Democrats filed petitions.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The race for North Caldwell Borough Council took a leap forward during Tuesday's primary election when local Republicans and Democrats chose who will represent them in this November's general election.

There will be two, three-year terms available on the North Caldwell Borough Council.

Cynthia Santomauro and John Chiaia ran unopposed for the Republican nominations.

No names appeared on the ballot for the Democratic Party in North Caldwell.

Due to the coronavirus crisis, most voting took place by mail. All active, registered Democrats and Republicans were automatically mailed ballots. Ballots must be returned with a postmark on or before July 7, and must be received by the county board of elections by 8 p.m. on July 14 to be counted. A limited number of polling places were also open Tuesday for provisional ballots. (Learn more here)
