5K Reindeer Run Returns To The Caldwells: Race/Traffic Info

CALDWELLS, NJ — Get ready for a “running of the reindeer” in the Caldwells.

On Saturday, Dec. 1, Trinity Academy in Caldwell will hold its annual 5K Reindeer Run/Walk from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. All race proceeds will benefit Trinity Academy, a pre-K through 8th grade Catholic School. (Learn more about this local event here)

The West Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory about race day traffic:

“Runners and walkers will utilize Smull Avenue (north) from Hatfield Street in Caldwell to Mountain Avenue in North Caldwell. The group will then proceed (south) onto Mountain Avenue, and (south) onto Forest Avenue. The participants will return to the Trinity Academy, where the event ends.”

The WCPD stated:

“During the run/walk, Smull and Forest Avenues will be closed in both directions. Local neighborhood traffic will be allowed, but drivers may be delayed, until there are breaks in the event. Overnight parking permission for Friday, Nov. 30 into Saturday, Dec. 1 on Smull Ave, Forest Ave and Mountain Ave's will not be granted.”
