Acclaimed Jazz Artist to Perform at Caldwell College

You can watch him play Saturday nights with the NBC "Saturday Night Live" Orchestra and now you can see him perform live at Caldwell College in July.

Internationally acclaimed jazz trombonist and recording artist Steve Turre will be the principal guest artist at the Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York's concert in the college's Newman Center on Saturday July 31 at 3 p.m.

The Brass Spectacular Finale Concert will will be held at the conclusion of the sixth annual Gramercy Brass Band Camp.

More than 125 brass and percussion students in grades 4 to 12 will participate in an intense week of ensemble training with principal members of the Gramercy Brass Orchestra from July 25 to July 31. The culmination of the camp occurs when students perform along side the professional members of the Gramercy Brass Orchestra at the finale concert.

 General admission to the Brass Spectacular Finale Concert is $20, students and seniors over 65 are $15. Tickets are $10 for the master class with Steve Turre on Friday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m.
