CALDWELL, NJ — A municipal parking lot in Caldwell will be temporarily closed for road work later this week.
According to a municipal advisory, road resurfacing at the Kaplan Municipal Parking Lot (Gould/Jack's Lot) is scheduled to begin at midnight on Friday, Oct. 9 and run through Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The lot will be milled on Friday, paved on Monday and restriped on Tuesday. No parking will be permitted in the lot during this time, including permit parking.
The lot is expected to reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 14 (weather permitting).
"Employees, customers, and residents are encouraged to utilize other available municipal parking lots, including the Hanford, Parsons, Smull, Firehouse and Cook's Lots," the Caldwell Police Department suggested. "Legal parking spaces on surrounding local streets may also be utilized."
"Please plan accordingly and be mindful of all posted parking restrictions," the advisory added. "We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed."
