NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — A local road in North Caldwell will be closed on Halloween for trick-or-treating.
The borough shared the following message about the upcoming street closure on Wind Ridge Drive:
"Following a request received by the borough, the closure of Wind Ridge Drive has been approved for Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026 from 4 to 8 p.m. to accommodate Halloween trick-or-treating activities."
There are plans to adopt an ordinance in the near future establishing requirements for road closures, the borough said.
"Once adopted, all future road closure requests must comply with the ordinance," North Caldwell administrators said. "Residents are encouraged to submit requests well in advance of their planned events. Road closures are not permitted without prior borough authorization."
"We appreciate everyone's cooperation and wish all residents a safe and happy Halloween!" the borough's message concluded.
