Attorney General Grewal Visits North Caldwell School, Alma Mater

Students at West Essex High School in North Caldwell got a visit from one of the school's alumni: NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Students at West Essex High School in North Caldwell got a visit from one of the state’s top officials last week: New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal.

Grewal, an alum of the school, paid a visit to his former alma mater on June 8, according to a social media post from administrators. Grewal took time to say hello to the staff of Wessex Wire, the school’s student-run newspaper, who had interviewed him for a previous article.

“Gurbir S. Grewal was nominated to serve as New Jersey’s 61st Attorney General by Governor Philip Murphy on December 12, 2017. He was confirmed by the New Jersey Senate and assumed the office on January 16, 2018. Since assuming office, Grewal has focused his attention on protecting the interests of New Jersey residents by expanding affirmative litigation, strengthening police-community relations, reducing violent crime and fighting the opioid epidemic.”
