Be on the Alert - Lice Did Not Take a Vacation this Winter

ONE QUICK TREATMENT, DONE! All-Natural Lice Treatment! www.liceliftersnorthnj.com

The winter months are one of the peak times for head lice transmission.

Ah, the Joys of winter for those of living in the Northeast: The holidays are over and what do we have to look forward to? Snow and Lice! The winter months are also one of the peak times for head lice transmission. The pesky critters have not slowed down even with a drop in temperatures. The most common way to get head lice is head to head contact. They can also hide in the many layers of clothing, hats, gloves, scarves we use to ward off the chill, and crawl from item to another as coats pile on the floor or are hung together.

What can we do about it? For starters, throw outdoor clothing in the dryer for 30 minutes at a high temperature. Emphasize to your children not to share coats and hats with their friends. Wash combs and brushes in soapy water and let them soak in hot water. When in doubt come in for a head check!
