Black Maria Film Festival in Caldwell

Join us for the 33rd annual Black Maria Film Festival, a program featuring this year's winners of short, international documentary films. The Festival will be held Sat, April 12 from 3:30-5pm at Caldwell Flowerland at 329 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell. The event is being sponsored by the Caldwell Merchants Association.

Tickets are $12.00 and seats are limited. Tickets are available at Caldwell Flowerland and Loving Living Interiors at 295 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell.

With a festival admission ticket many of Caldwell's restaurants are offering a 20% discount after the show.

The festival honors the Black Maria studio built by Thomas Edison in West Orange in 1893. It is considered America's first movie production studio. At the time it was nicknamed "Black Maria" owing to its resemblance to police paddy wagons.
