Dog Tails - Jenny

All about Jenny and her adventures as a foster dog living with Amy.

Black dogs get overlooked many times more often than dogs of other colors in shelters.  Black pitbulls are in serious trouble.  Jenny was one of the lucky ones.

Amy Susney attended Woofstock and saw Jenny there.  She said that what impressed her about Jenny was that another dog who didn't have Jenny's good manners was gnawing on her playfully.  Jenny ignored the pesky dog and was happy to walk around Woofstock calmly making new friends.

Amy asked if she could foster Jenny through Sit Stay Learn, and I immediately said yes.  It's going to be a long, hard summer for the dogs. We need to pull as many out of shelters as possible now.

So I put together a care package for Jenny filled with food, a bowl, etc.  Amy was thrilled.  She told me that our rescue was the first to give her anything to take home with her foster dog.  Usually she gets handed a dog and is left to purchase the essentials on her own.

Because she had extra money to spend, Amy took Jenny shopping and bought her a very pretty paisley colored collar to replace the ugly chain collars that shelters use.  Now she's starting to look like someone's family dog.
