Dog Tails - Phyl

All about Phyl of Sit Stay Learn Rescue.

Phyl has got personality plus.  Sam and I quickly figured this out after pulling him from the AHS in Newark.  At the time we visited the shelter to evaluate him, one of the volunteers had started calling him "Yoda" because he looked,"Quiet and serene. An old soul."  Bwah hah hah!!!

Anyway, at the time, Phyl smelled like a combination of kennel urine and cement floor mixed with the beginning of a very hot summer.  We picked him up and unceremoniously dumped him into the shelter bathtub where he was content to let us give him a long soapy bath.  We think he was depressed at the time because he just quietly looked at us the entire time with a sad, wise expression.

Not long after that, we went to pick him up, and Sam ended up fostering him.  By now, his personality had really come out and he was happily bouncing up and down, very happy to see us (probably happy to see anybody!).  He became Phyl.

Phyl, who is neutered, especially loves female dogs.  When you see him, you can almost hear him saying, "Hey baby...what's your sign?  I'm an Aquarius..."

This big, sweet mixed breed guy (we think he's boxer/pitbull) is housebroken and loves to go for long walks. He's about 2 years old, is great on car rides and loves affection. He's currently being fostered by Sam and her husband John and will make a wonderful new companion.
