DRIGGS AND MONDSINI “AS A MATTER OF FACT” WEST CALDWELL COUNCIL 2012

Our opponents are claiming to support our police department by the hiring of three new police officers this year. The fact is the during our opponents term the police department has been allowed to run short staffed and is still short staffed, even with the three new officers!

If they support our police department then why is West Caldwell in litigation with the police department at this very moment to eliminate supervisory ranks? Not that long ago why were they looking to layoff and demote officers?

Our opponents supported the demotion of West Caldwell Police officers in 2011. 

Councilman Stanley Hladik said;

The demotion of the six officers would save the township approximately $107,000, according to Councilman Stanley Hladik. Is $107,000.00 in the West Caldwell Municipal budget worth the risk on public safety? Or did our opponents only decided to support hiring three officers when it came time for their reelection bid?  

By a vote of 5-1, the council agreed to advance sick leave for a West Caldwell Police Officer. Councilman Thomas O’Hern cast the only "NO" vote.

Driggs and Mondsini will ALWAYS make public safety the #1 priority! Just look at the recent crimes in West Caldwell. The POLITICS for our neighbor’s public safety MUST END!

From the moment Marc Driggs and Frank Mondsini announced their candidacy they have been outspoken about their support for West Caldwell’s Police Department and made it loud and clear their belief that six additional officers were needed as well as equipment and public support to allow them to do their job. Driggs and Mondsini believe our resident’s public safety is far more important. We must first make our town safe for our residents and children.
