My Mother's Day Gifts Were Perfect ... Well, Almost.
I left the store happy and confident with my purchases perfectly wrapped in pink tissue...

I shopped the in downtown Caldwell for Mother's Day gifts this year and was really excited to find the perfect gifts!
After circling the store for what seemed liked an hour, with sales help, and tons of hesitation, I finally decided on a stretchy beaded belt with a wooden clasp that was so perfectly trendy for my fashionista mom and a Vera Bradley blue and white patterned lunch tote for my perfectly gourmet mother-in-law.
I also knew I was going to start this blog, so I thought, how perfect, I’ll shop, I’ll take pictures of shopping, I’ll take pictures of the beautifully wrapped gifts and the looks of joy on my mothers' faces as they open their gifts. It will be lovely, what a perfect way to start a blog.

I left the store happy and confident with my purchases perfectly wrapped in pink tissue that was popping out of pink bags all ribboned and just ready and waiting to be gifted. On Mother’s Day, we all had a wonderful dinner, cooked by my brother and my assignment was to make the margaritas as it is every Mother’s Day. We enjoyed talking and hanging out so much, that the perfect gifts just sat there.
At the end of the evening, I said, "Moms, open your gifts!" My mother held the belt up to her and said something like, "If I only had a waist!" My mother-in-law said, "I like that belt! I asked for belts for Christmas!" My mother said she preferred the lunchbox. She could take it to the beach. Then they traded. They looked at me and just said the gifts got "mixed up in the bags"!

My plan to take pictures of them opening opening the gifts didn't really work out either. I think I just sat there with my mouth open. Well, at least the margaritas were perfect!
