Marc Driggs & Frank Mondsini Call For An End To Partisan Politics In West Caldwell

Ronald Reagan stressed his belief in the importance of smaller government. He revealed his ideological motivation in a famed speech delivered on October 27, 1964: "The Founding Fathers knew a government can't control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing." He also said, "You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down.

While watching our local politics closely over the years, we have seen dedicated and qualified individuals pushed out of public service in West Caldwell because they dared to disagree. They spoke out when they saw decisions being made they felt were not in the best interest of the residents in OUR town. We chose to become part of OUR town council in a way where we would not be controlled by the majority party or any special interest, only to do what’s best for West Caldwell as a whole. We feel that a rubber stamp council, no matter what party, is NOT in the best interest of OUR town. We wonder and worry if the increasing debt, legal fees and proposed Municipal bond loans that our current council keeps increasing and piling on will prohibit the MAJORITY of residents to be able to afford to retire in West Caldwell. Will our children be able to one day own a home in West Caldwell? How will our Senior Citizens afford to stay in West Caldwell? Ask yourselves, when was the last time our opponents said no, dared to object, or question? Are they concerned with the future of West Caldwell or more concerned with not getting bounced off the Republican ticket? Vote for Driggs & Mondsini and put and end to Partisan Politics and the Political Machine in West Caldwell and help secure the future for ALL residents. The primary goal of a political machine is keeping itself in power rather than providing good government. "political machine".  Encyclopædia Britannica. Encyclopædia Britannica Online.
