Real Estate Buzz: The Caldwells
It was a quiet holiday week, but we did have a some lovely new listings bloom in the Caldwells, such as this one in North Caldwell for $1,150,000.

Here is hoping you all had a happy holiday week and those of you reading who enjoyed a spring break last week (as I did) got some well-deserved rest. The market here in the Caldwells was a little quiet last week, no doubt due to the aforementioned holidays and people being away for the break.
This week should see a renewed energy in our market, as right now we are in what the experts are calling the "perfect storm" for home buying: lower prices coupled with low interest rates. This rare combination is bringing out buyers in droves which means it can only help the sellers out there as well. Last week an agent in my office had a home with more than a dozen offers on it! If that doesn't spell good times ahead, I don't know what does!
Now that the Spring holidays are behind us, and everyone has (hopefully) filed their taxes, the real estate market should pick up steam fast and furiously right into the Memorial Day weekend, when people head to the shore and the market quiets down. If you are considering buying or selling, the best time of the year is now.
