WEFE Holds Successful Golf Outing

West Essex Foundation for Education Hosts Successful Golf Outing

The West Essex Foundation for Education's annual golf outing was a huge success on October 16 at the Montclair Golf Club.

WEFE President Eileen Fiore estimates that the foundation raised about $15,000 at the event, which attracted 70 golfers and 55 supporters to its luncheon.

"We had many of our past supporters return for a wonderful, windy day of golf," she said. "The Montclair Golf Club welcomed us with open arms, which made our event a great success."

"After a chilly October morning of golf, our guests enjoyed a bountiful buffet lunch and tricky tray," Fiore said. "All of the items raffled off in the tricky tray were donated by our generous parents and local businesses. The Foundation board and trustees are grateful to our sponsors, golfers, and voluteers for without them, we would not be able to fund our mission: enhancing the education of our students at West Essex Regional Schools."
