West Caldwell Republican Town Council candidates Stan Hladik and Tom O’Hern started their campaign this past weekend attending various events and canvassing neighborhoods to get their message out to the voters of West Caldwell. They have also announced their Campaign Team with West Caldwell County Committeeman Jim Perry as the official Campaign Chairman for the Hladik & O’Hern Campaign Team. Other campaign team members include Kathleen Marchetti as Vice Chairman, Karl Otterbein as Communications Director and Chris Smith as Director of Campaign Operations who is also long-time Chairman of the West Caldwell GOP. West Caldwell Mayor Joe Tempesta will also play a key role as Advisor and Honorary Chair of the team.
Councilmen Hladik and O’Hern stated, “It is an honor and privilege to serve the residents and businesses of West Caldwell and we pledge to continue to fine tune the policies we have established by taking input from and listening to what our residents and businesses are saying and what they desire. We also pledge to continue to maintain the solid reputation that West Caldwell has as being a great place to live, work, and raise a family. We have both contributed countless hours to our community because of our love for West Caldwell. We plan on reaching out to several thousand of our fellow residents over the coming weeks. We have been fortunate to have many people volunteer to help us throughout the campaign and have had dozens of new residents that have expressed a desire to be on our expanded campaign team. This campaign will truly be a grassroots effort and we are both humbled by the outpouring of support.”
Hladik and O’Hern stated that over 100 people have signed up to be on their team and to serve in a variety of capacities including walking neighborhoods, communicating our philosophies to our neighbors, conducting neighborhood coffee gatherings and back yard barbecues.

When contacted for comment West Caldwell Mayor Joe Tempesta stated, “You can’t find two finer gentlemen than Stan Hladik and Tom O’Hern to represent us on Town Council. They have done an outstanding job serving their first term and deserve our support for another term. Between the two of them they have 8 children and I know they represent all of our families’ best interests the same way they care about their own families. I pledge my full support for their re-election efforts and will help them anyway that I can.”
