West Essex Girls Lacrosse Coach Celebrates 250th Victory

West Essex Coach Wins 250th game

 Congratulations to West Essex High School Girls Lacrosse Coach Jill Cosse who celebrated her 250th win as a lacrosse coach when the West Essex High School Varsity team won on May 21!

 Coach Cosse, who is also the West Essex Field Hockey Coach, became coach in 1997, replacing retiring coach Linda Alimi. Her record as a lacrosse coach is 250-66-3 and her field hockey coaching record is 328-94-14. As a lacrosse coach, Cosse has never had a losing season and never missed the postseason. Her record includes five conference championships, five state group championships and eight county titles. In field hockey, since taking over at West Essex, the team has won 16 conference championshops, 13 county titles, 12 state sectional championships and seven Group 2 titles. Coach Cosse and her family reside in North Caldwell.
