West Essex High School Participates in National Signing Day

West Essex High School participated in National Signing Day on Feb. 6 when senior David Greczek signed with Rutgers University in New Brunswick where he will play Division 1 Soccer.

David, who played for the West Essex Varsity Soccer Team as goalie for three years, plays soccer with MatchFit, a U.S. American League team with the U.S. Soccer Federation. New rules prohibited David from playing for West Essex as a senior.

 West Essex High School Principal Gary Suda and West Essex Athletic Director Damion Macioci congratulated David at a special signing ceremony in the West Essex High School Library. David's parents, Christopher and Alicja Greczek, and Paul Reece, Director of Goalkeepers at MatchFit Soccer Academy of Princeton also attended the ceremony.

 Many more West Essex High School athletes are expected to sign with colleges over the next several weeks.
