West Essex High School Students Visit Chinatown

West Essex High School students take trip to Chinatown.

West Essex students in Chinese 1 and II classes took a trip to Chinatown in New York City on April 20. They visited the Museum of  Chinese in America, enjoyed Shanghai-style pork buns for lunch in Chinatown, and walked through Columbus Park to see the statue of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, a former leader of the Chinese Nationalist Party. Chinese teacher Cynthia Ni organized the trip. Social studies teacher C.J. Rauch also helped chaperone the excursion.
