West Essex Middle School Celebrates Teen Read Week

West Essex Middle School students and even Principal David Montgomery and Assistant Principal Lisa Tamburri were “caught reading” during Teen Read week Oct. 22-26.

Middle School Librarian Catherine Spinella reports that the week was a big success with more than 210 students reading more than 420 hours at home!

 Students read more than 25,154 minutes or  17 days straight for the event. The eighth graders were named the winners of this year’s competition, reading 14,000 minutes.

During English classes, students discussed books they read in the school courtyard.
