West Essex Middle School Enjoys Field Day

It was the first Field Day in about a decade at West Essex Middle School May 3 and it was a great success. Following four days of New Jersey State ASK tests, students dressed up in red and black and competed in everything from balloon tosses to potato bag races to soccer. It was a day to show off your West Essex spirit.  

'It is a nice way to unwind after the ASK Testing," West Essex Middle School Principal David Montgomery said during the day's events.

The contest was close and the black team won by just three points, it was announced in a cheering stadium.
