West Essex Middle School Students Help Homeless
The West Essex Middle School WE:HELP Character Education Club and Builder's Club made 75 bagged lunches for the homeless.
The students made the lunches after school on April 23, according to Club Advisor Natalie Franzi, a Middle School English Teacher. The lunches were dropped off at The Gellman Foundation, which distributed these bagged lunches to the homeless in New York City.

The club members donated wheat bread, apple sauce, Oreos, plastic bags, white lunch bags, and plastic gloves to make the lunches. Club member and eighth grader Gianna Zecchino's parents, who own Nicola's Italian Bakery and Deli in Montclair, donated turkey, ham, and cheese for the sandwiches. Club members assembled lunches and decorated lunch bags after school.
