West Essex Seniors Make Murals

It is a tradition for West Essex High School seniors to create a mural for the high school before graduation.

Each year, several West Essex student artists create a “Senior Mural,” as their Senior Service Project under the direction of art teacher Eileen Dormer.

Dormer explains that "from the time they enter as freshman, students look forward to the day when they, too, will keep up the tradition of adding their signatures to the walls of the high school by signing “their” mural.

"The 2012 mural is a stand-out, painted by Grace Barettii, Jenna Bartello and Michael Leonardis. The students created a spectacular 3-D illusion with the school’s Knight viewing their names by torchlight."

It will hopefully decorate a wall of the high school for years to come.
