CALDWELLS, NJ — Get ready for a warm week of weather, Caldwell – and the possibility of breaking some daily temperature records.

Surging temperatures could bring a “record-breaking” warmth to New Jersey, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).

In the Caldwells, a high temperature of 87 degrees is predicted for this week.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Light southwest wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. West wind 5 to 8 mph.

Wednesday: A chance of showers between 2pm and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 85.
