Burglars Target Bloomfield Avenue Businesses

Attempted burglary and burglary reported last week in downtown Caldwell.

Caldwell Police have posted details on the agency's Facebook page of a burglary and attempted burglary of two Bloomfield Avenue businesses last week.

According to the Facebook post, there was an attempted burglary reported by  at 392 Bloomfield Ave., on Monday, Jan. 16. The rear door to the business was forced open, however, there were no items reported missing.

The next day, Tuesday, Jan. 17, a burglary was reported at nearby on 405 Bloomfield Ave. The rear door of the restaurant was pried open and approximately $200 in cash was taken from the register. Two Dell laptop computers and a surveillance system DVR recorder were also reported missing.
