In Caldwell: 'Art on the Avenue' Coming to Downtown on Saturday

The Caldwell Merchants Association will present the sixth annual “Art on the Avenue” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday May 30, taking place on Bloomfield Avenue.

According to a release, the event will feature local artists and fine art crafters, who will be exhibiting and selling their works. Several restaurants in the area will also offer food specials, and winners of the Student Art Show, “Shop Downtown,” will be on display.

There will be entertainment on the Green throughout the afternoon, including a jazz ensemble from Montclair State University from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., and a performance from the Modern Music Academy in Caldwell from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Event sponsors include the Caldwell Merchants Association, the Essex County Cultural Arts Program, Caldwell Women’s Club, Cloverleaf Tavern, Jack’s Foodtown, PSE&G, Kiwanis Club of Caldwell-West Essex and SMS Security Systems.
