Caldwell Chiefs Go Bald For Pediatric Cancer Fundraiser
The travel baseball team took just a little bit off the top during their recent St. Baldrick's Day fundraiser at the Cedar Grove Elks Lodge.

On March 5, members of the Caldwell Chiefs 12U travel baseball team participated in a St. Baldrick's Day fundraiser at the Cedar Grove Elks Lodge.
Participants in the event solicit donations from friends and family in exchange for shaving their heads in order to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.

The team raised close to $1,000 during this year’s event, their fourth year of participation, and the event on March 5 raised over $27,000 in total, according to coach John McNish.
In the nine years that the Cedar Grove Elks have been hosting this event, they have raised over $275,000, McNish said.
