Caldwell Council Proposes 2018 Municipal Budget
The Caldwell Borough Council has proposed a municipal budget for 2018 that would slightly raise taxes for the average homeowner.

CALDWELL, NJ — The Caldwell Borough Council has proposed a municipal budget for 2018 that would raise taxes for the average homeowner by $57, officials reported.
Caldwell officials presented a draft version of the municipal budget last week during the Borough Council meeting. The proposed budget would increase the CY 2018 budget by up to 3.5% over the previous year’s final appropriations in the “interest of promoting the health, safety and welfare of the citizens.”
A second reading and public hearing for the proposed budget will be held at the council meeting on Tuesday, June 5 in the Borough Hall Council Chambers at 7 p.m.
