Caldwell Event: Art On The Avenue 2017 Will Include Live Entertainment
The 8th Annual Art on the Avenue event will take place in Caldwell on June 3.

The Eighth Annual Art on the Avenue, presented by the Caldwell Merchants Association, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 on Bloomfield Avenue in central downtown. In case of rain, the event will be on Sunday June 4 from noon to 5 p.m.
Many artists and fine art crafters will be exhibiting and selling oils, water colors, pastels, photography, pet portraits, sculpture, handcrafted jewelry, and metal and wood crafts.

Community members of all ages are invited to stroll the Bloomfield Avenue sidewalks on June 3 to view the show and enjoy Caldwell's shops and restaurants along the way. This year, some local artists include: Robert Szpila, of Fairfield; Lisa Palombo, Janet Markman and Allessandra Sutera of Caldwell; Steve Van Zandt of North Caldwell and Ellen Galione of Roseland.
Food-to-go specials will be available at Bankok, Caldwell Seafood, Cedar Grill, and Cloverleaf to eat while viewing the art. Fliers will be available at the four Caldwell Merchants tables with more details.

There will be entertainment at the Caldwell Presbyterian Church, and at 3 p.m., La Bella Musica will offer live entertainment on the corner of Park and Bloomfield Avenues.
“Paint the Town” plein air local artists Marian Jones and Donna Lynch of Fairfield will be painting live at The Grover Cleveland Birthplace from Wednesday through Friday.
Tickets for a 50-50 raffle to benefit the projects and initiatives of the Caldwell Merchants Association will be available at four CMA tables and winners will be announced on the Green at 2 p.m.
Professional art jurors will select pieces from the show where they will be displayed in the Winners' Circle on the Caldwell Green. Final judging for awards will take place from 1 to 1:45 p.m. and the Awards Ceremony including over $1,000 in cash prizes will be announced at 2 p.m. The show continues until 5 p.m.
