In Caldwell: Four-Way Stop Sign Proposed For Ravine and Westover Avenues

Have you seen speeding at the intersection of Ravine and Westover avenues?

During the July 21 Caldwell Borough Council meeting, Police Chief James Bongiorno made the suggestion that a four-way stop sign should be installed at the intersection because of speeding concerns.

“It’s not going to end it, but it will definitely help it,” he told meeting attendees.

According to Bongiorno, the Caldwell Police Department recently monitored speeding activity at the intersection – a 25 mph zone - after receiving multiple complaints from residents.

Police determined that 433 cars travel down the road during the peak eight hours of the day.

30 miles per hour.
