CALDWELL, NJ — Have you ever wanted to be a crossing guard in Caldwell? Here’s your chance.
On Friday, the Caldwell Police Department posted a hiring announcement for a school crossing guard. The CPD wrote:
“A school crossing guard is a part-time employee of the Borough of Caldwell. As a crossing guard, you are a vital link to the safety of school children on a daily basis. Crossing guards need to be available for a minimum one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, and on occasion mid-day.”

Minimum qualifications include:
- High school graduate
- U.S. citizen
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
Successful candidates must pass an oral interview, background investigation and a medical physical.
