Caldwell Jewish Congregation Draws 250 For Annual 5K Walkathon
Members of Congregation Agudath Israel recently participated in the 15th annual 5K Israel Walkathon.

CALDWELL, NJ — Members of Congregation Agudath Israel recently participated in the 15th annual 5K Israel Walkathon, powering through the streets of Caldwell in support of programming in Israel.
According to a news release, the October event attracted 250 participants, including children, teens, adults, and seniors, and students from the Congregation Agudath Israel Early Childhood Center.
Focusing on the future of Israel, the Walkathon “supports youth-oriented, educational, and religious pluralism programs for all areas of Israeli society through partner communities in Israel,” according to event organizers.

Monies raised help aid programs such as national NOAM, nursery schools offering Jewish content, scholarships for underprivileged teens, special needs Bar/Bat Mitzvah students, meals for in-need Jewish children and lone soldiers, organizers said.
